Pardew's side are on a four-match winning run ahead of Saturday's home game against West Brom, now managed by last season's Palace saviour Tony Pulis.
Palace failed to build on the momentum of Pulis' salvage job a year ago as the Welshman resigned on the eve of the season, but Pardew is determined to make progress this summer.
That means resisting any bids for the likes of Bolasie and targeting more high-profile players - hopefully on the back of a top-half finish.
Speaking at his pre-match press conference Pardew, whose side are just a point off 10th-placed Stoke, said: "The most crucial thing for us is to try and secure a top-10 finish, I think that is a realistic aim.
"Then we need to build on that, the chairman has done a fantastic job here and it will probably be a big challenge for him in the summer because I'm going to be banging his door down about some big signings to come in and he has to do what is right for Crystal Palace not what is right for me."
Pardew scoffed at reports of a £10m tag on Bolasie, claiming the forward "is worth double that", and highlighted Joel Ward's decision to sign a new deal as proof of Palace's growing appeal.
"There are some fantastic players here and great spirit," he said. "Our players are going to be very difficult to take away."
Pardew has won 10 of his 15 games since leaving Newcastle for Palace and has been touted as a possible successor to Pulis as Premier League Manager of the Year.
Asked for his choice he said: "Garry Monk of Swansea has done very well. And Jose Mourinho - I wish he'd smile a bit more. Those two would be my picks."
